He has also been an affiliate Faculty Instructor at Rocky Mountain University of Health Professions from 2011-2014. Matt was first introduced to trigger point dry needling techniques in 2007 and quickly became an assistant instructor with Kinetacore, which he now teaches around the country and in Canada throughout the year. Once moving to Utah, he tirelessly spent the next 6 years working with the state of Utah and his professional organization to allow physical therapists to perform trigger point dry needling. It was passed into law in 2014. Because of his efforts, Matt was awarded with the honor of Physical Therapist of the Year in 2014. He has been working in private practice nearly his whole career and is excited to partner with Jessica in starting their own practice, Dynamic Physical Therapy in 2015. Matt recently obtained his Therapeutic Pain Specialty from the International Spine and Pain Institute in 2018.
Matt enjoys the outdoors, skiing, hiking, camping, golfing, and playing disc golf. He spends his free time with his 2 children exploring Utah, and spending time with his extended family.

On a personal note, Jessica enjoys being up in the mountains and staying active by hiking, camping, backpacking, running, cycling, doing Pilates, and walking her dog Jerrie. She loves just spending time relaxing with her family and friends or trying new food and restaurants.
Ariel Branden, PT, DPT, OCS
Ariel is originally from Connecticut and earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology in 2014 from Skidmore College in upstate New York. She then pursued her Doctorate in Physical Therapy at Sacred Heart University in Connecticut, graduating first in her class in 2018. She continued her training as an Orthopaedic Physical Therapy Resident at The Massachusetts General Hospital Institute of Health Professions (MGH IHP) from 2018-2019. As a resident, Ariel treated a diverse orthopaedic patient population at MGH’s outpatient clinic in downtown Boston and educated first and second year DPT students as a lab instructor and tutor at the MGH IHP. She is also involved in ongoing research and advocacy efforts through the American Physical Therapy Association.
Ariel enjoys treating a wide variety of orthopaedic conditions with a special interest in the management of chronic pain. She is passionate about helping people of all ages and backgrounds understand their bodies and wellness in order to return to the activities they love and maximize their quality of life. Ariel became a board certified Orthopaedic Specialist in July 2020. While on clinical rotation during graduate school, Ariel fell in love with exploring Utah and has been excited to return to Salt Lake City in 2019 as a member of the Dynamic Physical Therapy team. Outside of the clinic, Ariel enjoys spending quality time with family and friends while traveling, hiking, skiing, and camping. Ariel’s areas of interest include:
